The size chart is pretty accurate. but if you want to tight fit and feel the compression, I'd recommend you to get a smaller size. Its best that you follow the BMI sizing guide provided below this page.
When following this chart, always get a smaller size you have in your mind, when in doubt.

Below 18.5 = S
18.5 - 21.7 = M
21.8 - 24.9 = L
25 - 27.9 = XL
Above 28 = XXL
